Shroud can’t decide whether he can play PUBG

Former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro Shroud is still having trouble deciding on a game to stream. This past week, he described PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds as “a waste of my time” when connection issues caused lag in a round he was playing. Those issues have plagued his attempts to stream PUBG, and in a recent stream, Shroud said that he can’t play the game.

“I can’t play PUBG, man,” he said, frustrated with another poor connection. “It really just sucks. Like it really just sucks. Please, PUBG devs, if you’re watching, fucking help me man. I can’t play your game!”

But it seems to be a case of the grass always being greener on the other side of the battle royale fence, because a few days later, Shroud was playing Fortnite and said that PUBG is the better-running game.

Shroud has been ping-ponging between PUBG, Fortnite, and Apex Legends lately, but ongoing issues with each one have led to him put each one down in succession, heading back to another battle royale, which he then gets frustrated with in turn.

So where will Shroud eventually wind up? He’s still playing quite a bit of PUBG, with the occasional Fortnite broadcast thrown in. But he’s also been playing Escape from Tarkov, the hardcore PvPvE shooter from BattleState Games.
